Kamalini Ramdas
Associate Professor of Business Administration
New Product Development; Managing Product Variety; Supply Chain Management
Associate Professor Ramdas's research focuses on the development of new products and services. In her research on product development, she examines the challenges firms face in managing product proliferation, both internally and across the supply chain. Ramdas has published articles in Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Interfaces, Production & Operations Management, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. She serves as an Associate Editor for Management Science and as a Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management. Ramdas has received Darden's Wachovia Award for research excellence and Wachovia Award for excellence in course materials. She has consulted with firms in the automotive and other assembled-product industries.
Prior to joining the Darden School in 1996, she was on the faculty at the Graduate School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, and an instructor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
